Rome by night tour, catch sight or Rome’s best attractions from the comfort of your coach and make two stops to visit two of Rome’s most iconic sights: Piazza Navona and Trevi Fountain.
There is nothing like driving through Rome at night and watch all its wonders at once! Rome by Night Tour is extremely fascinating and allows you to see Rome’s major attractions from the comfort of your coach.
It will feel like travelling through different eras as you move from the Imperial Rome, to the Christian landmarks up to the most recent baroque monuments. And you can learn all about each one of them from the expert guide onboard.
The Rome by Night Tour takes approximately two hours with the opportunity of a free pick up from your hotel if you are staying in central locations.
The coach will then zigzag through an incredible amount of sites and monuments: the Fountain of the Naiads to start with, descending Via Nazionale and passing by The Exhibition Palace to reach Piazza Venezia with its Altare della Patria (Altar of the Fatherland).
Then next door to the Capitoline Hill, all the way through Imperial Rome and its four landmarks: he Roman Forum, the Colosseum, the Arch of Constantine and the Circus Maximus.
Leap into the Papal era when, driving along the banks of the Tiber, you see the Jewish Quarter and the imposing Castel Sant’Angelo until you reach the epicentre of Christianity: St’Peter’s Square.
The first stop will be near Piazza Navona, the home of Rome’s baroque architecture. Walk to the majestic Fountain of the Four Rivers by Bernini and admire the other fountains on the right (Moor Fountain) and the left (Fountain of Neptune).
Board the coach again and drive alongside the Aurelian Walls, passing Porta Flaminia, Villa Borghese and the street that made Rome famous in the 60’ for its ‘Dolce Vita’: Via Veneto.
The coach will then reach Piazza del Popolo, another major square in Rome, and will stop for your visit to the Trevi Fountain. Make sure you have a coin to toss in the fountain!
The right way of doing it is by throwing the coin from the right hand over the left shoulder to make sure that you will return to Rome one day.
Once you will have complied with this old tradition, the Rome by Night Tour will end with a drop off to a central location near your hotel.
